'We'll come back to St. Petersburg with great pleasure!'

After the official Awards Ceremony of the winners and medallists of the women's World Series tour St. Petersburg Open-2005 attended by the Governour of St. Petersburg, Valentina Matvienko, the tournaments' director Mikhail Rydnik and other officials, the finalists of the St. Petersburg tournament answered journalists' questions.

All four strongest players said they were looking forward the tournament on the shore of the Neva River to confirm their titles. In fact, the medals were extremely important for them since they failed to capture gold medal on the previous tournament in Norway.

At present the Brazilian duet Juliana Felisberta Silva and Larissa Franca placed on the first line in the world rank are full of resolution to retain their leadership. By the way, Juliana was generally recongnized the most valuable player of the tournament and was presented a special prize - the SWATCH watch. Renata Martinez Ribeiro and Talita da Rocha Atunez in their turn were glad they could pass all elimination matches and qualify for the final, which is in itself huge success.

Assessing the level of Russian women's teams, the tournament's finalists marked their potential and voiced the opinion that if Russian teams had an opportunity to train all year round they could have placed higher positions.

Sharing impressions about St. Petersburg, the Brazilian players marked they would return to St. Petersburg with great pleasure since the city impressed them very much.
